Opening a bank account

SunReal’s associates can help you open a bank account at a Bulgarian bank. An account can be opened both in the name of a natural person and a legal entity.

There are several types of bank accounts, depending on your needs:
Current account – an account that allows carrying out current operations such as payment of the monthly bills for public utility services, withdrawal of sums from the account, execution of bank transfers, etc.

Sight deposits – saving accounts which allow you to increase your funds and withdraw small amounts at the same time.

Term deposits – deposits with profitable interest opened for a definite term with no possibility to withdraw money for the term of the deposit.

Escrow accounts – accounts used in the execution of transactions in major deals, in which the performance of the obligations undertaken by both parties is monitored.

Joint accounts – accounts opened by several persons aiming at management of common funds.

In addition, it is possible to include an additional option – “E-banking and telephone banking”.

The charge for opening an account is about 1 Euro, and the monthly charge for account maintenance is approximately 2 Euros. For execution of payments of bills for public utility services and other transfers, the charge is 0.10 Euro per transaction.

The bank account may be opened both in local currency – Bulgarian lev, and in Euro, US dollars, and British pounds.

A contract is signed upon opening the account between you and the bank, in which all terms and conditions and method of using the account are described. Together with the contract, you will receive a list of the bank services and their tariffs. In addition, you can sign with the bank a contract for payment of public utility services bills. After opening the account, you will receive the IBAN (account number) and BIC (bank identifier code). You can use these requisites to make payments or receive funds in the account.
